Joel trusted Jesus as Saviour when he was about 8.  Not having a date or time, the promises of Ephesians 1:13, "In Him you also trusted...you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise", and 1 Peter 1:23, "Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible", were of great encouragement to him as he sought assurance of his salvation.

 Knowing a clear calling into full time ministry, Joel attended the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York.  After completing their two year programme, he then spent a further year of study with Baptists for Israel while living on a kibbutz on the Sea of Galilee.

Upon returning to Northern Ireland, Joel completed a local church internship at Ballee Baptist Church. He worked alongside the Pastors in the church ministries and engaged in schools ministries in the Ballymena area. Since completing his internship in June 2011, he has been representing Word of Life in Northern Ireland. He directs our summer and winter camping ministries, is involved in various local church ministries and continues to engage in schools ministry.		 Joel
